Synchronous vs parametric rolling: know the difference

Synchronous rolling: you meet the waves at about your roll period, typically in beam or quartering seas. Parametric rolling: you meet them about twice per roll, in head or following seas, with a wavelength close to your ship's length, and the roll can build quickly. The fix: change course and speed, use your stability data, and always follow your master's orders and SMS.
